It is with great pleasure to announce that "The 2010 Rising Star of Tennessee" is in full swing again and scheduled to take place Oct.16 & 23 at the
Palace Theater in downtown Maryville.

on Oct 9 during the Foothills Fall Festival. Performers from 2009 & 2008 be performing from 3 to 5
in the afternoon. This years event will support Blount County Habitat for Humanity.

Maryville band Skyfall finds voice, books festival
Most of Skyfall’s members came together through previous spiritual-oriented outfits, before finding vocalist Laura Bloomfield in a chance encounter following one of the band’s initial practices. A server at the time, Bloomfield expressed an interest in filling the band’s vacant vocalist position and was drafted immediately following her powerful audition. As winner of the 2009 Rising Star of Tennessee Competition, Bloomfield adds quality as well as diversity to the Skyfall lineup.

Youth Winner Morgan Ray of Walland attends the 7th grade of Heritage Middle School has been singing since she was 3. Morgan entered the event last year & was a finalist, but she returned this year with renewed determination and a powerful version of “Power of the Dream”. Three counties will be represented at the Preview Concert on October 9th at the Palace Theater in Maryville. Alli Bradley of Blount County, Laurel Dunn of Anderson County, and Perry Bonck of Loudoun County will all take the stage to benefit Blount County Habitat for Humanity in the Preview Concert for the 4th Annual Rising Star of TN Vocal Competition.
